To Do’s in the Big Apple – New York

New York is probably on everyone’s bucket list or “must go” destinations.  This was actually my sister and I’s first solo trip to the big apple. This was quite a big deal for us.  Of course, prior to our trip, I spent most of my time figuring out our itinerary and making sure we don’t miss any tourist attractions.  Also this will be the first trip that we will be by ourselves so I really had to go way and beyond above expectations “as some would say,” because I actually studied, or should I say attempted to study the New York’s public transportation (MTA).  Especially with a big city like this, you just don’t have the time to get lost in an unfamiliar city that might lead you to who knows where.  We were spending four days here so here is my itinerary.

*LOTS OF WALKING*
But hey, that is the best way to get to know and actually see the beauty of NYC ♥

Accommodation:  The Watson Hotel
Address: 440 W 57th St

  • About 20 min walk to Time Square (which means very convenient to everything)
  • Nearby is a pizza place called Justino’s Pizza (never have I ever seen huge servings of pizza! It is not a sit down restaurant, it’s an order take it to go kind of place but definitely worth a try, especially on your first night. Approximately 2min from hotel!)

Must have apps: Citymapper

  • With this app, you will never be lost in any big city. It tells you real time subway arrivals, which line to take, and even takes you step by step on each stops, and alerts you when it’s time or when you have arrived at your destination/stop. So no more excuses that you missed your stop!

When you get to the bottom of the stairs, turn left on to Washington Street.
